LUSH

Hello lovelies! I'm so excited to start blogging and sharing the insides to my life with you guys. Hopefully by reading my blog, you will get to know me better and vice versa! I mean we're all friends right? So, I would greatly appreciate any comments or questions about anything. Don't be afraid to ask!

Anyways, it would only make sense that my first blog post would be about my first experience purchasing LUSH cosmetics!

My first LUSH cosmetics ever are these face masks: the Mask of Magnaminty and the Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask. These face masks are made from whole, fresh ingredients made from organic fruit and vegetables with the finest essential oils and safe synthetics meaning that you get the most effective product for your money's worth. And boy are they effective!

Not only are they made from fresh ingredients, the company is known for passionately protesting against animal cruelty such as testing products and ingredients on animals in labs. They also do campaigns on what animals have to endure when it comes to animal cruelty. For more information on these campaigns, watch it here:

And on to the subject matters,
Before I put these masks on, I like to wash and exfoliate my skin with the Dermalogica Clear Start Foaming Wash with my Mia 2 Clarisonic beforehand. I've been using the Clear Start line (originally named Clean Start) for a few years now, and I would never stray away to another facial care brand. This line is ideal for teenagers and our hormonal breakouts. It has kept my skin in check and in great condition.

Mask of Magnaminty is a deep cleansing face and back mask. The description that LUSH has provided on their website, china clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation, is exactly how it feels. It's intense but not too harsh or abrasive on the skin. The ingredients include aduki beans for exfoliating flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness, and honey to soothe. This mask smells like all things peppermint; it even says it in the name!

Once you spread the product generously on your face, leave it on for 5-10 minutes, rinse and exfoliate with warm water, your face will feel fresher than ever. The plus side is that it has also helped me with acne problems! After a few days of using this and the Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask, my blemishes have subsided greatly. I highly recommend this keep your skin in good condition!

Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask is for deep-cleansing and refreshing oily, congested skin and is made strictly from fresh ingredients; therefore, it is required that it be refrigerated. This face mask is ideal for combination to oily skin. The ingredients derive from fresh eggs and honey that softens, lime oil that brightens, spices that warms, and ground almonds that exfoliates your skin.

Because it is refrigerated and once you put it on, the coldness of the product hits you and your face immediately feels so fresh and nice (especially after a long and hot day). It literally smells like honey, nuts, and flowers, and who doesn't love a face that smells like flowers? Like I said before, this face mask immensely aided with my blemishes and I highly recommend this product as well!

Also, if you bring back 5 empty LUSH pots with a specific logo (it'll say on the logo) to a LUSH store, you can get a free fresh mask! Yay for free!

I hope my review of the Mask of Magnaminty and the Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask was helpful to you all and I look forward to posting more later on! Happy blogging! xo, Vanessa.
